Skyhound Internet has been providing web site design and
hosting services since 1998. For years we focused on custom
design services by creating unique websites designed to
meet the needs of individual businesses. While these services
are still the thrust of our business, this May we have launched
a new marketing plan to offer pre-designed websites to customers.
Pre-designed websites are templates created by us and a
pool of other designers worldwide. These top quality designs,
which would cost several thousands of dollars if we created
them custom, are now being offered at special package discount
You'll get a website that looks like you spent thousands

Skyhound Internet alerts customers about domain
name registration and transfer scams as well as search engine
promotion scams. Don't fall victim to these tricks by reading
our customer information bulletin below:
We have been made aware that there are a few companies
that are sending out "Domain Renewal Notices"
to our clients through postal mail. These domain renewal
notices look just like an actual invoice, and try to trick
you into paying
the domain registration fee. Although paying the fee will
renew your domain, it also transfers it to another register
company that charges much higher fees. Many times the register
company is overseas.
We do not recommend you pay any of these phony invoices.
In most cases, Skyhound Internet handles all domain renewals
for our web hosting clients. You will receive notices directly
from us via email, or you may be set up for automatic renewal
service if you have credit card or quarterly billing.
If you have any questions about how your domain renewal
is handled, please let us know.
In addition to domain renewal scams, some customers have
reported getting "Search Engine Submission Invoices".
These letters also look like an invoice and offer you to
renew your search engine submission service, for a fee.
Although you can use this service to help promote your website,
we recommend that you read the fine print on these offers
before acting upon them. We are very leery of doing business
with any company which tries to fool you into paying a bill
that is not actually due.
Skyhound Internet also offers search engine submission services,
so if you are interested in this option, please let us know.
Unfortunately, when registering domain names the information
contained in the domain record is available to the public.
This is how these companies acquire your addresses.
There are new privacy services that will mask your company
name, address and email in domain records. Please let us
know if you would like to do this with your domain names.
If you have any questions about either of these issues,
or any material regarding your domains that you receive
in the mail, please let us know.
