The Entertainment Community Fund (formerly The Actors Fund) in Los Angeles hired Skyhound in 2015 to produce a new website for their Looking Ahead Program which caters to young performers. Due to the complexity of the features requested,  we recommended moving away from Drupal (their CMS at the time) to a custom coding solution using the PHP programming language.

Challenges for this project included a multi-step member registration system, member profile pages, permission based member access, event registration and management, document management, e-commerce and event ticketing, and emailing/text messaging features.

In 2018 Skyhound was tasked with creating an additional website for the newly launched Looking Ahead Program for their New York office.  After completion of this project, on-site training was provided to the Actors Fund staff in New York.

In 2023 we merged the New York’s Looking Ahead Program into the California program and created several additional features for the website management along with a brand refresh coordinated with their company name change.

Skyhound is currently contracted to provide support and new custom coded features as well as continued staff training. The new website has allowed the organization to spend less time on the phone with tedious detailed busy work. The new site automates much of these tasks.
